OPTIMALISASI PERSIMPANGAN DENGAN SISTEM TERKOORDINASI DI KOTA KEDIRI

Intersection is a traffic conflicts that can lead to stagnation and accidents. As well as the existing problems at the Wolter Toler junction, Jolo Indah junction, and Ringin Sirah junction in Kediri, which served as the object ofthe research. Based on the field observation, the moving flow is less efficient, it is necessary to be changed or repaired. Data acquisition in the field showed a cycle time 103 seconds for Toren Wolter junction with 3 setting phase, 136 seconds for Jolo Indah with 4 setting phase, and 110 seconds for Ringin Sirah with 4 phase setting.
After calculation can be obtained that the saturation degree for each leg closers to Wolter Toren junction between 0,5–0,67, to Joko Indah junction is between 0,48–0,58, and then to Ringin Sirah junction between 0,51–0,62. The average delay at Wolter Toler junction, Jolo Indah junction, and Ringin Sirah junction is 46,20–49,18 sec/smp. Based on that results, then researcher conclude to make two alternative proposals, 1st alternative proposal (green time optimization) and 2nd alternative proposal (coordination intersection).
