Abstract

The development of population and the increase in facilities and infrastructure of buildings affect the limited land so that it is needed soil mechanic and foundation analysis. In planning the bearing capacity calculation foundation is needed by using several methods depending on the type of soil and the method of its implementation.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the amount of bearing capacity of the pile foundation in a static and dynamic metods in the construction of the Alalak Bridge in Banjarmasin and compare the results of the two methods.

In this research the method used is the study of literature and the collection of all data and information is secondary data of work in the field and primary data obtained directly in the field. Data processing using manual calculations in accordance with the static formula using the methods of Luciano de court, Mayerhof, US Army Corps and Briand et al, while the bearing capacity of dynamic poles derived from field data using Hiley, WIKA, ENR, Janbu, Eytelwein, Navy Mc Kay and MSHoC.

The results of the static method of Luciano de court formulation describe the greatest bearing capacity of 118.57 tons in BH-07 and 139.80 tons in BH-08. While the dynamic method of Navy Mc Kay formula provides the largest bearing capacity value of 1,723.20 tons. Of the two methods, namely statically and dynamically approaching the calculation results, the Lusiano de court method = 139.8 tons and Hiley = 140.40 tons.
