PENGENDALIAN SUHU BETON MASSA 3500M3 MENGGUNAKAN BALOK ES DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP BETON
Abstract
This study aims to determine how to control the temperature of mass concrete, with a cooling method using ice cubes. With the target to be achieved is a maximum fresh concrete temperature of 32 ° C, workability slump 16 ± 2, peak temperature 81 ° C, temperature between layers of concrete 20 ° C, concrete quality of 35 MPa.
A raft foundation is a raft-shaped foundation that spreads to all parts of the base of the building with a certain thickness as a compressive force leveler that bears the overall load of the structure above it. In its manufacture, the Raft Foundation uses mass concrete. Mass concrete is concrete with a large enough volume so that steps are needed to overcome the increased heat from the cement hydration process and volume changes that can cause cracking. Concrete with a thickness greater than 1 meter or 3 feet requires special attention to temperature changes.
All research activities are carried out in the field, from the planning and implementation of the raft foundation which refers to the technical specifications of the structural consultant - Davy Sukamta Konsultan, ACI 207.1R - guide to mass concrete, ACI 207.4R - cooling and insulation system for mass concrete. Can be concluded with the following data results; The highest fresh concrete temperature was 29ºC, workability was achieved with an average slump at 16 ± 2, the peak temperature reached 79.5ºC, the temperature between concrete layers, with the highest temperature was 19.2ºC, the 7 day old concrete compressive strength test reached 37 MPa.
Key words: Mass concrete, temperature, concrete compressive strength
