Abstract

This paper presents research on anticipation and solutions for equipment cost overruns on toll road construction projects in Jabodetabek. A survey was conducted with 76 respondents (Managers, Consultants, Contractors). The dominant factor causing equipment cost overrun is breakdown of heavy equipment (mean = 4.32), followed by delay in mobilization (mean = 4.18). Preventive maintenance schedules and contractual penalty clauses are established as key solutions.
